Verdocs Is Included in the 2026 Embedded Finance Index
Verdocs Team
Verdocs is included in the 2026 Embedded Finance Index from Apideck and Open Banking Tracker, in the KYC / KYB & Identity category. The index maps the vendors that fintech and embedded finance companies publicly name in their technology stacks, using sources such as subprocessor lists, trust pages, and customer announcements.
Thank you to Apideck and Open Banking Tracker for including us, and for the work that goes into showing which providers sit behind the financial products people use every day. You can find the details in Verdocs' profile in the Embedded Finance Index.
Where Verdocs fits in this category
The KYC / KYB & Identity category is broad. It covers consumer and business verification, sanctions screening, and onboarding decisions. Verdocs covers one specific part of that picture: confirming who is signing at the moment a document is executed, inside the platform where the transaction happens.
Verdocs provides fully white-labeled, embedded eSignature and signer authentication for vertical SaaS platforms. The platform keeps its own branding, sets its own pricing, and owns the customer relationship. That is the core of our white-label eSignature model.
Through our partnership with GBG, Verdocs supports two forms of signer identity verification:
- Knowledge-based authentication (KBA), where the signer answers identity questions before the document opens.
- ID scanning, where the signer verifies a driver's license and takes a selfie.
The verification experience is fully white-labeled. Signers complete identity checks and signing inside the platform's branded experience, without being sent to another company's site.
Access control is a separate layer
Verdocs also supports passcode-protected signing. This is access control, not identity verification. The signer must enter a passcode before they can view or sign, which limits who can open a document. When a transaction calls for more assurance, a platform can pair it with KBA or an ID scan. Developers can see how these methods are ordered and configured in the recipient authentication guide.
The right level of verification depends on the transaction and the rules that apply to it. Verdocs gives platforms the options; each platform decides which ones its workflows need.
Why signing and identity matter in embedded finance
Embedded finance puts financial transactions inside the software people already use. Many of those transactions end with a document someone has to sign, and the business needs confidence about who signed it. A few examples:
- Insurance applications. An applicant reviews and signs an application in the agency or carrier portal, and the platform confirms the signer before coverage moves forward. See how this works for insurance platforms.
- Financial agreements. A borrower signs loan or account documents in a lending or banking product, with authentication scaled to the stakes of the file. More on financial services platforms.
- Tax documents. A client signs an engagement letter or an e-file authorization in tax and accounting software, where verifying the signer is often part of the workflow. More on accounting platforms.
- Client onboarding. A new client signs intake forms and an engagement letter in practice management software. More on legal platforms.
When signing and verification happen in a separate tool, the user leaves the product at the moment they commit, and the platform loses sight of a step its customers depend on. Keeping both native keeps the experience consistent and the activity inside the platform's own product.
A native capability and a revenue opportunity
For vertical SaaS platforms, this is a product decision as much as a technical one.
"Vertical SaaS platforms should be able to offer signing under their own brand, set their own pricing, and own the customer relationship. Embedded eSignature turns an essential workflow into a native product capability and a new revenue opportunity."
Pierce Alizadeh, Founder & CEO of Verdocs
When signing and identity verification are part of the product, a platform decides how to package them, which plans include them, and what to charge for them. Our usage-based platform pricing is built for that model, so the margin and the customer relationship stay with the platform.
Explore embedded signing and identity verification
If your platform serves insurance, financial services, accounting, or legal customers, and signing or verification still happens outside your product, we would like to show you what bringing it inside looks like.
